SCO Engineers

Frequently asked questions.

Answers to the questions we hear most from clients starting a new PV, storage, EV charging, or infrastructure electrical project.

How quickly can SCO start on a new project?+

Most projects kick off within a few days of your intake call. Once we have your site plans and utility data, our team begins design work right away — exact timelines depend on system size and scope.

What codes and standards do you design to?+

Every project is designed to NEC and IEEE requirements, plus the specific AHJ and utility interconnection standards that apply to your jurisdiction.

What do you need from us to get started?+

Typically: site plans, utility account or interconnection data, any existing one-line diagrams, and your target timeline. If you don't have all of it yet, we can help you figure out what's needed.

Do you provide stamped construction drawings?+

Yes. Every project goes through multiple internal reviews and is stamped by a licensed engineer before it's delivered to you.

What size projects do you take on?+

Everything from single-site commercial rooftop systems to multi-site, community-scale PV+BESS portfolios and 100+ site EV charging rollouts.

Do you work outside of Colorado?+

Yes — we design for clients and jurisdictions across the United States.
